Props and environtmen designs for Pan's Labyrinth movie: The thrones and the palace hall.

Guillermo del Toro expressed his idea of tall and beautiful thrones. These are the two initial proposals I made. Even today I still don't understand how they could get up there without cracking their heads. XD

My idea was to place those high thrones on top of a structure with fanciful arches that would form a dome. Behind it we could see tall towers decorated with gargoyles that would be lost in the fog of the height.
This concept was never realized. :(
